Hello Fox network fans. Are you ready for a scoop? Well, House favorite, actress Olivia Wilde, who portrays the doctor lovingly referred to as “Thirteen” has been missing in action of late. In the real world, the actress had a great excuse. She was working on twin sci fi action spectaculars, Tron Legacy and Cowboys & Aliens (check out the trailer now). Actress Amber Tamblyn helped fill the void created by Wilde’s absence. Now Tamblyn will make an exit, which coincides with the return of “Thirteen”. Fans of the medical drama may have thought the writers were getting ready to kill “Thirteen”, who suffers from Huntington’s disease, which many know is incurable. Ready to learn the truth about the character’s fate? Series creator David Shore told TV Line Wilde’s involvement on House does “extend beyond” the current season, season seven. “That was kind of [our] plan: let her go away, become a giant movie star, and then she would come back and bring [all her new fans] with her,” said Shore with a laugh. That sounds like a winning formula to me! I’ve been a Wilde fan since she appeared on The Black Donnelly‘s, a drama canceled too soon for this follower. But long term plans have yet to be pinned down entirely. Shore, added, “We’ll have to continue to work around her schedule a little bit. But it would be a crying shame for us to let her get away at this point. We’ve been very good to her and we’d like a little bit of it back.” How will her return be treated? Shore offered this clue, “We have something very cool in mind. We’re writing an episode built largely around her return. I know [fans] are speculating about what happened to her during her absence, and I don’t want to rule anything out.” With “Thirteen”, you never know what she might have gotten into while she was away. Here’s a bit of trivia. What is her character’s actual name? It is Dr. Remy Hadley. posted by Jennifer on January 17th, 2011 with Comments Comments Off
